The Internet Society Islamabad Chapter, successfully hosted Mr. Fahd Batayneh, Stakeholder Engagement Manager – Middle East (ICANN), for an insightful session at Capital University of Science & Technology (CUST).
The session, titled “Understanding ICANN and the IANA Functions,” offered valuable insights into global Internet infrastructure, DNS management, and meaningful ways for academia and professionals in Pakistan to engage with the ICANN ecosystem ICANN grants Program & New gTLD.
This initiative was seen by Mr Qamar as a significant step toward strengthening local engagement in Internet governance, DNS security, and technical/Academic capacity building.
